Re: What are your Vista Performance scores?

interesting, i wonder who has the highest score.

Re: What are your Vista Performance scores?

i'll have to check mine and post later. not sure if i feel like rebooting at this point in time.

edit? just checked my score. 4.5. would probably be higher if i had another stick of 1GB DDR2 800, and a slightly faster CPU, seeing as my scores for graphics, gaming graphics, and hard disk space were 5.9, 5.9, and 5.4 respectively.

1.0, I am the winnar!

All thanks to an unsupported Radeon card ;)

Re: What are your Vista Performance scores?

4.3.... will tweak vi give me a boost on my 3.2ghz p4 cpu?

Re: What are your Vista Performance scores?

2 on my laptop
3.2 on my test rig

Hasn't got near my main one yet :D

Re: What are your Vista Performance scores?

It would only score a 2.4 anyway. *runs orf*

Re: What are your Vista Performance scores?

i would obviously be forced to cry if that happened, I suspect it can cope with Vista though.

Re: What are your Vista Performance scores?

Yeah... with all the effects turned off, and put into "Classic". :p

Re: What are your Vista Performance scores?

for people like me with our heads in the sand...

here is the link to the place for the tool to score yourself... now I shall give it a try...
[edit] Doh! I am ready, look slike it is bye bye DriveImage time and need to put that Audigy card in... BUT I get no score - what are you running to get a score? I just get a big tick.... [/edit]

Re: What are your Vista Performance scores?

erm.. can someone put me in the right direction... Didn't MS say the scoring system is meant to be between 1 and 5?
If so, where does 5.5 come into the equation?

Re: What are your Vista Performance scores?

...where does 5.5 come into the equation?
you mean that is your score? Otherwise I would suggets it comes into the equation with photoshop :p

Re: What are your Vista Performance scores?

My test box scored a whopping 1.0 because of "gaming graphics".

CPU: 4.2
RAM: 4.5
Graphics: 1.9
Gaming Graphics: 1.0
HDD: 5.3

Re: What are your Vista Performance scores?

no... i dont mean the final score... but the subcategories... they're supposed to be in-line with the final score, so how can your HD score be 5.5 (EP) and 5.3 (Matt)?

Re: What are your Vista Performance scores?

I would love to try, however on my new pc (all parts except the harddrive are new as of a month ago) does not suppot the upgrade advisor cause I am running 64-bit XP. I also took another older harddrive, 10gig, and tried the 32-bit vista RC1 but it crashes on install but not my buddy who used th esame DVD, and the 64-bit RC1 says the harddrive is too small to even try installing.

Hey EP! All good with me, applying for Microsoft MVP right now, should have done this a while ago.

Notifications don't work, I only found your response by coming back to hunt up some threads, if you want, give me your email address so we can keep in touch easier!

EP, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS

Been running around Quora lately, luv it there!
