Magic Wand Use

Well, he selected the magic wand tool, then selected the layer that is the front of the folder. (He actually selected the empty space outside of the front of the folder).

Then he selected the leaf layer that he dragged in and deleted what had been selected by the wand tool from the other layer, which was the empty space from around the front of the folder. This makes the leaf layer over the folder show up.

That is the thing. I have seen many tutorials like this, and needed to do this many times. But it never works. I can never select the layer that way, I can never do it. Do I need to press a button at the same time? Or am I just completely stupid and can't do it. I have been a graphic designer for awhile now, and can't do this simple thing. Arg

No buttons need to be pressed, you just go over and select the layer to change layers.

Finally got it to work. Not sure what I was doing wrong, but glad it's working.

Hey EP! All good with me, applying for Microsoft MVP right now, should have done this a while ago.

Notifications don't work, I only found your response by coming back to hunt up some threads, if you want, give me your email address so we can keep in touch easier!

EP, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS

Been running around Quora lately, luv it there!
